Wednesday Evening Lecture | Wed 26 Feb

$0.00

Everyone is welcome to attend these lectures - bring an open mind, a curious intellect and look forward to a stimulating and entertaining evening exploring some of the core principles of the Buddhist path. After the initial presentation, there will be a period of questions and answers, and then a chance to continue the discussions over refreshments after the formal part of the evening is complete.

Current Topic.

Reincarnation: Is There Life After Death?

Do the birth and death of this life mark the outermost boundaries of our existence? Can the genetics inherited from our parents really account for the complexity of our personality and experiences? Are we simply fleshy machines, working out chemical equations with merely the illusion of consciousness and choice? Or are we, in fact, spiritual beings travelling through life on a journey of evolution, presented with challenges as opportunities for learning and growth?

Buddhists believe in past and future lives - but why? What reasons did Buddha give? How can we test those ideas? Is it even possible to know what happens after death until we die? All these important questions and more will be explored in this Wednesday evening lecture.
