How to Stay Strong When Things go Wrong: The Art of Acceptance - Geelong Public Talk | Wed 18 Sep

Event Description.

Life is full of challenges, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed when we’re drowning in difficulties.

Through meditation we can develop a strong flexible mind that can turn every situation to our advantage.

By confronting and finally embracing the hard truths about suffering, Buddha’s teachings allow us to develop a deep acceptance that opens the door to a life where we thrive in the very situations we used to be afraid of.

We need to find inner strength for a happy life, for our family and for our world. Come along to this talk and find out where Buddhists get their strength from.

Gen Kelsang Rabten is the Resident Teacher of KMC Australia (Dandenong Ranges) and KMC Melbourne (CBD). Ordained in 1994, he has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for 30 years. He has taught in many centres around the world including Australia, New Zealand, and South-East Asia.

Gen Rabten exemplifies the essence of the modern Kadampa’s way of life, brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
