The Bliss of Concentration - Silent Retreat | Thu 23 - 28 Jan

$80.00

With concentration our mind becomes bright and clear like a cloudless sky and we naturally experience a deep inner strength and mental stability. With this, the pain and turbulence of craving naturally declines and it is easy to remain content. It is said that pure concentration gives us the freedom to accomplish whatever we wish for, whereas, without it, we are slaves to our distractions and negative tendencies.

Instead of chasing after external pleasures, those who have trained in concentration enjoy an inner freedom and suppleness. With a perfectly concentrated mind we are able to easily progress through the stages of the path to enlightenment.

This silent retreat will cover the instructions on developing faultless concentration that are shared in Geshe Kelsang’’s text ‘Joyful Path of Good Fortune’, and, following the advice from the King of Concentration Sutra, participants will be encouraged to take the form of Buddha as their object of training.
