We have been running meditation classes in Melbourne for almost 20 years. Combining heritage charm, unique architectural features and modern furnishings, our space provides a modern-day oasis - the perfect venue for enjoying inner peace.

Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) Melbourne offers a range of classes, workshops, and special events suitable for all levels of experience and everyone is welcome. We also offer an in-depth study program for those wishing to increase their understanding of Buddhism.

KMCM is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to create peace and harmony within our world. All proceeds go towards this aim, and specifically for building International Temples for World Peace.  

Classes.

Our classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our life and develop inner peace through meditation and Buddhist teachings.

Classes consist of two guided meditations and a teaching to help us solve our daily problems and find the lasting happiness we seek. No prior experience needed and you can join anytime. Everyone is welcome.

Monday Meditate with Dani Brunton | Mondays 5.30 - 7pm

Our afterwork monday meditation class is the perfect way to transform mondays into one of your weekly highlights.

Weekly Meditation Class - Stop Procrastinating, Start Meditating with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Dornying | Tuesdays 7 - 8.30pm

On this course, we will: learn to set up a daily meditation practice for a happy life, learn to develop stable self-esteem, understand how to energize and uplift the mind and find direction in life. Please click here for more information and to book.

Simply Meditate with Bonnie Galletly | Wednesdays 12.30 - 1.30pm

A chance to revisit the main points of our Tuesday night class and explore them in longer meditation. Drop-in any week.

Free Lunchtime Meditation with Eddie Tan | Thursdays 12.30 - 12.50pm

Take 20 minutes to cultivate inner peace so you can enjoy the rest of your day and week with an inspired and positive mind

Resident Teacher.

Gen Kelsang Dornying is the Resident Teacher of both Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia and Kadampa Meditation Centre Melbourne.

Gen Kelsang Dornying has been teaching Kadam Dharma in Australia for over 18 years. He is an inspiring and light-hearted teacher of modern Buddhism who makes Buddha’s teachings clear, accessible and applicable to modern life.

Gen Dornying teaches a variety of in-person and online classes throughout the week, as well as regular workshops and events.

Gen Dornying teaches Tuesdays, 7pm at KMCM.
