Class Topic

The Minimalist - 4 Guiding Principles to Declutter Your Life.

The minimalist lifestyle is about having only what you need and striving to only use things that have a purpose. The objective? To make space and declutter your life.

But what about your mind?

Buddha taught that our mind is always moving, flitting from thought to thought without control. (“I should meditate/exercise/go for a walk/call my mother – but I have too much work/I’m tired/the house is a mess – oops, I forgot to pay that bill/return that phone call”...)

It might seem harmless, but this unstable attention makes our inner world cluttered, congested, and unpeaceful. It also makes happiness and well-being impossible.

Over this 5 week course we’ll explore the guiding principles that keep the mind free of negativity and turbulence. By living by these principles your mind will feel tidy and joyful. You’ll gain clarity, feel less overwhelmed, and get more done.

Upcoming Class Topic

Resolving Relationship Difficulties.

week starting 12, 19 & 26 June

Buddha taught special methods for dealing with difficult conversations, relationships and situations. Even a slight understanding of these methods can make a significant positive difference to our handling of challenging situations and their results. These powerful tools, including the practice of meditation, can help us deal productively - even happily (yes, this is possible) – with difficulties.

Instead of feeling anxious, defensive, angry, depressed or overwhelmed, the practice of meditation can empower us with the skills we need to deal with conflict and confrontation with clarity and confidence.

At these weekly drop-in classes, you will learn how to stop feeling dragged down by difficulties and leave with the practical tools you need.
