Workshops.
Our meditation workshops are an ideal way to experience inner peace through meditation and a change in perspective. These courses examine a particular topic in greater depth than would be possible in a weekly class.
Our workshops, are open to everyone and are suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners. We offer full and half day courses.

Meditation Workshop with Gen Kelsang Rabten
A special course celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia
Sat 10 May | KMC Australia (Dandenong Ranges)
It is not hard to generate effort for just a few days, or even for a few weeks or months, but if we are to accomplish our goal our effort needs to be constant. It is far better to apply a small amount of effort consistently than to apply a huge amount of effort for only a few days. It is said that our effort should be like water in a wide river, gently flowing day and night, year after year. Foolish effort is like a waterfall caused by a sudden storm; it cascades noisily and releases tremendous energy for a while, and then it trickles away to nothing. As long as our effort is consistent there is no doubt that we will attain results. It is said that with stable, indestructible effort all good qualities and realizations will increase day by day. Je Tsongkhapa said that with such effort we will complete our spiritual practice.
Join us for this special course and learn how to develop a consistent, unfaltering spiritual practice that will allow us to manifest our full potential.
Additionally, to celebration of the 20th anniversary of Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia, we will host a video presentation and an evening meal following the course, which can be booked separately.

Meditation Workshop with Gen Kelsang Tsalden
Sat 31 May | Brunswick
In our modern world, it’s easy to be deceived by the pursuit of external wealth; money, possessions, and popularity. How much time and energy do we spend chasing these things, and where do they lead us?
By contrast, in this course, we will explore the inner wealth of love, compassion, patience, and wisdom, and where these qualities can lead us. We all wish to enjoy our lives and help others enjoy theirs, but we are often distracted and confused about how to achieve this.
Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Tsalden will guide us to recognise the limitations of external wealth, without rejecting it, and teach us how to cultivate inner wealth. By learning to balance material conditions with spiritual practice, we can avoid the extremes of materialism and neglect, and instead find the middle way. This will allow us to transform our lives and discover true meaning and lasting fulfillment.

Sat 14 June | TBC
We all have painful experiences from the past that can influence how we respond to life today. Often, we hold onto feelings of anger, hurt, or blame, whether towards ourselves, others, or situations. Through meditation, we can uncover the true source of these emotions and gently release them, creating space for a sense of relief and joy.
In this course, you will learn how to:
- Let go of the past
- Move in the direction of harmonious relationships
- Nurture a compassionate and freeing attitude towards yourself and others
