Becoming a Spiritual Traveler: How to Take the Essence of Our Precious Human Life – Silent Retreat | Thu 22 - Tue 27 Jan 2026

$100.00

It is easy to take our life for granted and wish away our time, but there is nothing more precious than our human life. Reflecting deeply on the preciousness of our human life fills us with joy and a deep appreciation for the opportunities this life affords us. Developing the wish to take the essence of this precious human life is said to be the key that unlocks the door of Dharma. It is also said to be our best friend because it influences us powerfully to use our life in the best way.

As Shantideva said: “By depending upon this boat-like human form, we can cross the great ocean of suffering. Since such a vessel will be hard to find again, this is no time to sleep, you fool!”

Join the community of Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia for a 6 day silent retreat guided by resident teacher Gen Kelsang Rabten that will awaken a passion for taking the essence of each moment of our life. Everybody is welcome!
