Event Description.
Buddha Shakyamuni is the founder of Buddhism in this world and is a supreme object of refuge. His wisdom clearly and directly perceives all objects to be known; he has compassion towards every single living being without exception like a mother towards her only child; and he has perfect skilful means, whereby he works unceasingly to bring all living beings to the unsurpassed happiness of full enlightenment. By receiving his special blessings we come under his loving care and protection, and draw closer to the attainment his enlightened qualities of body, speech and mind.
An empowerment is a guided tantric meditation that harnesses wisdom, imagination and the power of enlightened beings to take us to pure worlds and pure experiences. It bestows upon us special blessings that heal our mental continuum and awaken our Buddha nature.
During this special event Gen Kelsang Rabten will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni, followed by teachings on The Liberating Prayer ~ a praise to Buddha Shakyamuni composed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
